The rush isn't over

We never expected the project to take off like this. Yesterday we had 3617 visitors from 2226 sites, which is not really big deal. But you have eaten 5 gigabytes of traffic and submitted jobs like crazy. The job queue is already 14 hours long. Woot!
Numerous blogs have linked our site, and many visitors have added a bookmark at http://del.icio.us/. On http://del.icio.us/popular/ we're in position 16. Thank you for the publicity!
We apologize for the ShotServer performance degradation. Response times are getting noticeable, especially when the server is merging uploaded images.
If you want to reduce the queue length, you could run a screenshot factory and process some jobs. Either use our ShotClient in Python, or write your own according to the FactoryInterface specification. But beware: if you add new browsers, the job queue will probably grow longer not shorter. Send email to johann@browsershots.org and we'll make a factory account for you.
